Hoghton Tower Farmers Market - December

Our last market of the year, at Hoghton Tower, went really well. We sold out of soup and black peas even though I had made twice as much as usual. Now I can have a Christmas break. Luckily the weather was sunny even though it was very cold and snowy.

Mere Brow Farmers Market - December

Yesterday we were at Mere Brow Farmers Market selling cheese, cheese and potato bakes and spanakopita. It went well despite the weather being miserable and the wind trying to blow our gazebo away all day. Here's a couple of photos of setting up.

We still did well at Bromley Cross Farmers Market this month, though the weather was really grim. We sold lots of cheese and some of our Carrot and Red Lentil soup. Also we managed to sell three ice creams, two of which were our special Christmas Pudding Ice Cream. We will be back once it starts up again in March.

Bromley Cross Farmers Market - October

Yesterday we were at Bromley Cross Farmers Market for the last sunny day of the year. I hope thats not true, but it was lovely and sunny. We were selling cheese, ice cream and our new cheese biscuits. It was a good day but a bit quieter than we were expecting, a lot of people must have made the most of the sun and gone out for the day, perhaps to the seaside.

The Guide Dogs Open Day in Atherton on Sunday went brilliantly. It went really hot and sunny in the afternoon which was very lucky as Saturday's weather was horrible and so is Monday. We sold out of all our black peas and ice cream. Thanks everyone!

Nether Kellett Farmers Market August

Nether Kellett Farmers Market was much better this month. We were selling our spanakopita (as seen above) which are filo pastry stuffed with spinach, courgette, mint, onions, lemon and crumbly Lancashire cheese. They are very nice, if I say so myself. Which I do. We sold out of them so will be bringing them again to some of our markets.

It was the Harpers Lane Allotments Open Day on Sunday. Even though the weather wasn't great we did really well, selling ice cream and cheese. It was our best day ever! Here's a photo of some of the scarecrows the allotment holders had made, and the stage where they had a band and Appalachian dancing.

Bromley Cross Farmers Market - August

As you can see from the pictures it was really raining at Bromley Cross Farmers Market this time. We still did well though, considering the terrible weather. We'll be back again next month.
