The allotments open day went very well this year. We sold loads of cheese and loads of ice cream. Thanks everyone! Me and my dad have made the big new sign above in the second photo for the ice cream stall. The day was sunny except for an hour of heavy rain in the middle of the day, but it dried up again afterwards and didn't spoil the day.

Hoghton Tower Farmers Market - July
Hoghton Tower was good this month. It was the tenth anniversary of the farmers market so they had a free raffle for a big hamper of food. We sold out of our red lentil, carrot and tomato soup which pleased me. We had whinberry ice cream for the first time this year, I'm making more of it tomorrow with more foraged whinberries from Winter Hill.
Mere Brow Farmers Market - July
Mere Brow was very good this month. As you can see we brought black peas for the first time. They sold fairly well so we'll try them again next month. There was a beer festival there as well so I bought a couple of beers from the Burscough Brewery. And also some scones for my supper.
